Exercise #176: Hodge Podge
Posted 9/8/06

You know how you only catch one or two lines out of somebody's conversation as you pass them in the hall? Here are some lines I've caught. Pick one and write! (Honest, they’re all from work...)

   * “It got thicker. What'd you put in it?”
   * “My tomatoes -- most of 'em anyway -- turned out beautiful.”
   * “I didn't get a pop-up!”
   * “They just don't learn.”
   * “I guess nobody talks to nobody there.”
   * “That F's coming out!”
   * “Some people have visions.”
   * “You know what she's trying to do? Unbundle a spouse!”
   * “It's in hex, and I'll walk you through it.”
   * “That's Herbert's FYI indicator.”
