Exercise #256: Self Knowledge
Posted 3/21/08

We all have those little stories about the things that happened when we were with someone close to us. You know the ones; you’re at a dinner party and someone says, “Hey, tell that story about Robert!”

As we go through life, we collect more such stories. Some of them are group favorites, and some of them have yet to be told to others. Today, show us a story about someone you know, preferably a funny or touching story rather than their most embarrassing moment.

For extra credit, if the person is still in your life, share it with them and tell us how it went.

This self-knowledge exercise will give you a chance to examine your relationships and perhaps see what you find valuable in them.
