Exercise #360

Exercise #360: Self Knowledge
Posted 3/19/10

Did you see the recent MISC post about Writing Life Lessons? For this self-knowledge exercise, come up with a one-line life lesson you would add to the list. Then briefly explain why that one line is your “life lesson.”

You may, if you wish, show a character tackling this exercise instead.

Critiquers, with an exercise like this one, you might choose to answer these questions rather than using a different technique for critiquing the piece:

     * Can you relate to the life lesson? How and why?
     * Did the writer present a valid case for adding this life lesson to the list of them?

Word limit: 350
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #360/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: This exercise will help you review what you’ve learned over your lifetime, and which of those lessons you want to share.
