Posted 4/23/10

You've seen the Prep posts from everyone. Time to choose!

Choose one of the quotations below. Then review the Prep posts and substitute at least one word in your chosen quote with a word someone considers “magical.” You may not choose any words you submitted!

You now have a new quotation. This is the “seed” for your story, and you may use it any way you like. Remember to tell us the magic word (or phrase) you used.

Quotation choices:

“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”   -- Warren Buffet

“You cannot innovate unless you are willing to accept some mistakes.” -- Charles Knight

“You cannot push anyone up the ladder unless he is willing to climb himself.” -- Andrew Carnegie

“If one is lucky, a solitary fantasy can totally transform one million realities.” -- Maya Angelou

“Memory is a net in which only the biggest fish are caught.” -- Daniel Hood

“If we stop living because we fear death, then we have already died.” -- Margaret Weis

“I was going to have cosmetic surgery until I noticed that the doctor's office was full of portraits by Picasso.” -- Rita Rudner

Please note the larger word limit.
