Exercise #481: Self Knowledge
Posted 8/17/12

Today's exercise comes from Sue L.

Sue said, “Once a week our newspaper magazine features an article in which a person gives advice to his or her younger self. It could easily be entitled 'Dear Me'. I'm sure we could all do that with the benefit of hindsight - what a wonderful thing hindsight is, if a bit useless because it often comes too late.”

So there it is. Starting with “Dear Me,” write yourself a letter.

As always, you may show a character tackling this exercise instead.

Critiquers, along with a technical critique, you might answer the questions below.
   * Can you relate to this letter?
   * Why or why not?

Word limit: 750

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: This exercise might give you some insight by using hindsight.
