Exercise #538: Self Knowledge
Posted 9/20/13

Today’s exercise comes from Sue L.

Write about your genealogy and how it has affected your life.

For those of you who actively trace your genealogy this should be an easy one! If you don’t do that, consider what you know about your ethnicity and show us a bit about how that may or may not have affected you.

You may show a character tackling this exercise instead.

Critiquers, you might choose to answer these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Did you find the genealogy-related topic enlightening? Why or why not?

Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #538/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: The sum of your genealogy is “you” but it’s not everything you are. This exercise will help you explore parts of yourself.
