Exercise #744

Exercise #744: Word Play
Posted 1/26/18

Today's exercise is based on a Letter Deletion puzzle. In a Letter Deletion, you start with a base word. For each succeeding word, begin with the base word but remove one letter from the interior of the word to come up with a new word.

When you have your set of words, put them together and write!

You may use your own Letter Deletion for your exercise or my example words below. If you use your own, please include it!

Critiquers, you might choose to answer these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Do you think these words folded seamlessly into the SUB? Why or why not?

Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #744/yourname

Example of Letter Deletion:
     * Startling
     * Starling
     * Staring
     * String
     * Sing
