Exercise #78: Word Play

The 26-line story.

For this, each successive line must start with the next letter of the alphabet, in order. Your first line should start with an "A," your second line with a "B," and so on, ending with the last line beginning with a "Z."  Clear as mud? See the sample start at the bottom of this message.

Do your best to get all the story elements in there!

"Anna!"

"Behind you," she whispered. "Couldn't find me, so now you're It!"

“Damn," he muttered.
