Exercise #791: Self Knowledge
Posted 1/18/19

What was the last fight you had?

Think about what the topic was, who you fought with, how it turned out (who won?), and how you felt about it. Think about how you feel about it now. Is there a difference?

Show us a scene about that fight (or another). It can be before, during or after the actual conflict. You may also give us an essay about it, instead.

As always, you can choose to have a character do this exercise instead.

Critiquers, you might try answering these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Could you relate to this piece? Why or why not?

Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #791/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: What we fight about, with whom, and how we feel about it can change. Sometimes we can decide to drive that change, but until we examine the issues we won’t know how to change or what we might do about it.
