Do you have any phobias? Something “common?” Or not so much? For this exercise, explore your phobia. (If you have more than one, pick one.) What do you fear? Why do you think you fear it? How do you manage your phobia?
As always, you may choose to show a character answering this exercise instead.
Critiquers, you might choose to answer these questions for critiquing the piece:
