Exercise #129: Word Play

Use an anagram for inspiration.
Choose a word, then visit http://wordsmith.org/anagram/ and enter your word (word combinations work, too: "desk drawer" netted a whole page, of which the one I liked most was "dark dr ewes." He's a veterinarian, I think.)
Now choose one or more of the anagram results, and write! You may include your first word, too, if you want. Either way, let us know what seed word you used.
