Exercise #43

Exercise #43: Self Knowledge
Posted 2/20/04

Sometimes a twist of wording gets our imagination going. I once wrote a long (for me) short story based on the question "What does a memory weigh?"

Almost all of us have dreams and desires. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" is a question we hear constantly at least until after high school. One co-worker of mine wants to visit Scotland someday, while another wants to learn to play the flute. Think about your dreams, and see where this question takes you:
 "What color is a dream?"

(If you don't like that question, you can use "What does a memory weigh?" instead, and if you want to read my story, just ask.)
