Exercise #1028: Self Knowledge
Posted 4/19/24

What are you doing today? Is this a self-care day or is it full of chores? If it’s all chores, are they yours or are you doing them for someone else? Think also about yesterday, and the day before. Think carefully about all the things you have filled this week’s calendar with and what you intended to accomplish by doing them.

For today’s exercise, you may show us a scene of your day, give us an essay on what you learned by examining your tasks, or show us what a “you” day would look like.

As always, you may choose to show a character answering this exercise instead.

Critiquers, you might try answering these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Could you relate to this piece? Why or why not?

 Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #1028/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: Taking time for ourselves is important and it is very easy to get caught up in other people’s “stuff.” Remember to take time for you.
