Exercise #163: Pick Six Posted 6/9/06
Roll a die three times, to give yourself three random numbers. Got ‘em? Each number will correspond to a section below. The first number will be your choice from the first set of six, the second die’s result will be your choice for the second set, etc. Got it? Okay, here we go.
You are tending to your own business when a:
1. unicorn 2. tooth fairy 3. leprechaun 4. Loch Ness monster 5. yeti 6. Santa Claus elf
stops you. This unproven (possibly mythological) being asks:
1. if you have any glorg 2. if you’ve seen a glorg go by 3. if you know your spouse is flirting with a glorg 4. if you’d like to buy a glorg 5. if you can help it find a lost glorg 6. if it can borrow a cup of glorg
You have no clue what the being wants, so you counter with:
1. offering mashed potatoes and gravy. 2. pointing to your ears and pretending you can’t hear. 3. handing it the newspaper you have in your back pocket. 4. offering to write it a check. 5. asking it a made-up question in return. 6. leading it to the nearest police officer.
Now the hard part: show us this encounter. You may choose to start at this point, or show us the events leading up to this point. You may choose to use a character having this encounter, rather than yourself. Remember to let us know what your choices were.
