Exercise #495: Pick Six Posted 11/23/12
Roll a die three times, to give yourself three random numbers. Got 'em? Each number will correspond to a section below. The first number will be your choice from the first set of six, the second die's result will be your choice for the second set, etc. Got it? Okay, here we go.
You are out on a date with:
1. Your fiancee 2. Your first love, the second time around 3. The boy/girl you’ve been hoping would ask you out/go out with you all semester 4. Someone you met online, for the first time 5. A rich older man/woman 6. Someone so your brother/sister could go out with their sibling/friend
At the restaurant, your date orders:
1. A la carte 2. For you 3. The waiter to bring new water for everyone, without any ice 4. A Long Island ice tea for you to share 5. A steak, exactly the way you like it 6. A burger and fries
When the meal arrives, though,:
1. The food is cold 2. The waiter trips and spills something on you/your date 3. You suddenly see your ex at the next table over 4. You realize you’re supposed to be at a fund raiser dinner tonight 5. You’ve decided this isn’t the person you want to spend your life with 6. The order is all wrong
Now the hard part: show us what's happening. Give us the ins and outs of this and how it turns out. You may choose to have a character doing this, rather than yourself. Remember to let us know what your choices were.
