Exercise #685

Exercise #685: Word Play
Posted 8/26/16

Today’s exercise comes from Sue F.

She would like us to come up with our own “crash blossoms.” What’s a crash blossom? See this article about newspaper headlines where nouns and verbs can be read interchangeably for very different results:

Create and submit your original crash blossoms!

Sue recommended no critiquing as these will be very short, but . . .

Critiquers, you might choose to answer these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Did this work as a crash blossom? Why or why not?

Word limit: 500
