Exercise #707: Hodge Podge
Posted 4/14/17

Today's Hodge Podge idea comes from Chas. You will see below, a list of short sentences lifted from various sources where one word is not quite the right choice, changing the meaning of the sentence altogether. Pick a sentence and let it take you wherever feels right. And, of course, write!

1. Trying to quit? Try our new tobacco sensation program!

2. The tunnel slopped gently back into the hillside.

3. We’re going to medicate this risk.

4. How many I serve?

5. It was clearly a case of statuary rape.

6. Buy cilias now!

7. Paper clutter is my biggest problem aria.

You can choose to use one of your own, if you have one. Please give us the sentence if you do this.

Critiquers, along with the usual technical critique, you might also comment on how well the SUB tied to the choice.

 Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #707/yourname
