Exercise #720: Self Knowledge

I saw this quote and it has stayed with me for several days:
The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel. -- Steve Furtick
I’d never thought of it quite that way but he’s right; we see the cracks and the failures and the tiny blemishes that permeate our lives while we only see the perfect, polished items from the lives of others. (With exceptions, of course, if you have a spouse or a best friend, etc.)
What about you or your life have you compared to someone else’s recently? Show us the event or the reflection afterward.
As always, you may choose to show a character tackling this exercise instead.
