Exercise #724: Self Knowledge Posted 8/18/17
There’s an off-site “rah-rah” party for work next week. Most of a day, spent out of the office, doing various fun team-building stuff.
Luckily, this time there isn’t room for everyone so we have to sign up to go. I’m so old-school. A fuddy-duddy. I still think work means work and when I spend all day getting paid to do work for someone else, I expect to . . . well, work. Not party. And honestly? I don’t have any desire to party with most of the folks in my office. I don’t even know a lot of them.
Which is, perhaps, the point.
Have you ever been forced to spend time with someone you wouldn’t have chosen to spend time with? Share the scene with us!
