Exercise #904: Self Knowledge
Posted 6/18/21

Today’s exercise was sparked by a comment from Chris.

Take five minutes and look in a mirror. Listen to your inner voice. What are you telling yourself as you stand there? Is it what you should be telling yourself? If not, how can you change it? As your five minutes runs down, notice something about your reflection which you like. (Yes, like.)

For your SUB, use what you observed and thought to write your piece. You may, as always, show a character doing this exercise instead.

Critiquers, you might try answering these questions for critiquing the piece:
     * Did you catch any spelling errors or other standard proofreading items? If so, note them for the author.
     * Could you relate to this piece? Why or why not?

Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #904/yourname

Why this is a self-knowledge exercise: Taking a moment to critically listen to our inner critic is always a good thing.
