Exercise #914: Your Thoughts
Posted 10/8/21

Today's exercise comes from Cynthia. Thanks, Cynthia!

Imagine that at the end of life, instead of dying people transformed from human into some object. The object is related in some sense to the life that they had lived. This could be understood in a

negative, positive, or utterly neutral sense. For example, if someone had worked as a gardener all her life, and had loathed her work, she would not be “fated” to turn into a hoe. Maybe she would become a coffee cup at her favorite café? Or a cuff link of a man she had loved?

What would you become? Or, what would you like to become, or what would you hate to become?

The exercise could also be answered for a character, in third person, but let some emotion warm your description. (That's why first person would likely be most fun.)

Critiquers, along with the usual grammar, spelling, etc, review, also consider this question:
     * How well did the submission fit the exercise? Why or why not?
