Exercise #947: Self Knowledge Posted 6/17/22
Our minds are powerful things. When we harness that power, we can achieve amazing results. But sometimes, the power runs free and odd things happen.
When does your subconscious mind control you? Think about the last time this happened, how it felt, what you think triggered it, how it was resolved. Then write!
An example: I spent part of a morning pulling weeds and after I got back into the house, I felt itchy and for-certain-sure I had bugs on me. There weren't any and even a thorough inspection didn't stop my body from presenting its pesky bug-reaction. To get this fixed, I had to shower! Why a shower worked when visual evidence of non-bugs didn't, I don't know. For my SUB, I might write up a section of the activity and then a brief tale about a quest for the ant that got away in my socks.
As always, you may choose to show a character answering this exercise instead.
