Exercise #972: Your Thoughts
Posted 12/9/22

Today's exercise comes from Sue. Thanks, Sue!

I didn’t have a chance to use this one last year, but Sue recommended that we have folks submit SUBs which were for writing fun, “be it a good joke or funny story, not necessarily something we’ve written. Something to end a crappy year with a smile.”

I hope this year wasn’t as bad as last year but the idea is still sound.

So . . . send us something funny. Remember the list doesn’t accept graphics or attachments - if you are just dying to share a cartoon, you’ll have to narrate it for your SUB.

If you SUB something you didn’t write, give proper credit to the source, and add a section on why you sent it in (essay-style, perhaps). This gives your critiquers something to work with.

Critiquers, along with the usual grammar, spelling, etc, review, also consider this question:
     * How well did the submission fit the exercise? Why or why not?
     * If the piece wasn’t written by the submitting author, what did you think of their reasoning for sending it in?

Word limit: 1200
Please use the subject line:
             SUB: Exercise #972/yourname
