Exercise #977: Interactive Posted 1/13/23
You were asked to submit complete sentences. Time to choose! Here are the submissions: Exercise #977 Prep. For this Interactive, you are allowed to choose your own, as long as you choose an equal number of others (example: you want to use three of yours; you will also need to choose three from other authors for a total of six).
For today's exercise, pick three or more of the sixty sentences submitted and use them to spark your SUB.
Not sure what to do? Here’s my recommendation: * Decide how many sentences you want to use (at least three). * Then use the link at the bottom of this exercise to pick that many numbers between 1 and 60. These are the numbers that equal the sentences you will use. * Go to our Prep page and find those sentences, based on the numbers you got. * Put the sentences together, as if in a story (it likely won’t make any sense yet). * Read what you’ve created (several times if necessary) and write! * When you've written your piece, revise it. Clean it up, shorten it if necessary, add detail where needed. (This part will likely result in removal of the original sentences and that's fine.)
SUB your revised work, and remember to tell us which sentences you used.
Critiquers, along with a technical critique of the piece, you might note how well the author created something from the original sentences.
Please note the larger word limit.
Word limit: 2500 Please use the subject line SUB: Exercise #977/yourname
* For selecting numbers: Try putting slips of paper with the numbers 1 through 60 in a hat, or go to this site: http://www.random.org/nform.html.
